The new pillar of Agent Provocateur perfumes, inspired by their lingerie and leather-and-lace portrayed sexuality, was founded with the release of Pure Aphrodisiaque which came out in late 2016, developed by Firmenich perfumer Honorine Blanc. Shortly after, the new Aphrodisiaque is presented, not as a flanker, but rather as the other face of the same story (as was the case with the editions of Fatale (Black) and Fatale (Pink). In certain markets, only one of these two versions will be available.
 
Both variants are of a floral-fruity signature, sharing the accords of jasmine, orchid and musk. The new Aphrodisiaqueis announced as an elegant and sexy scent that leaves behind a musky trail. The dominant fruity note of this composition is blackberry, whereas in the previous version that place belonged to Anjou pear. The notes of wild orchid of the original have been replaced by vanilla orchid and night blooming cereus in the new edition. The fragrance is sweetened by a black honey accord and wrapped up in musks and resins.
 
The shape of the bottle is identical to the Pure Aphrodisiaque edition (desbribed by the brand as "sexy, curvy and voluptuous"), only instead of metallic pink, it is this time colored in shiny gold.
